BoilermakerBeyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for a Boilermaker, supporting TOS II, at Arnold AFB TN. The selected candidate(s) will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.The successful candidate will, under general supervision, perform metal working, mechanical and manual work in the testing, operating and shop areas of an engineering test facility.Job duties include:Prepare test facility equipment for operationsPrepare test article for testingInstall test article and check installationsTroubleshoot equipment, test articles, and installations in case of malfunctionOperate plant equipment during testAssist in testsRemoves test articles after testInstalls and maintains heavy ducting systems, heat exchangers and condensersAccomplish maintenance and servicing work required to place and keep test facility equipment in operationUse a wide variety of hand and power tools, power equipment, measuring and testing equipmentInstructs less experienced craftsmanIt is a condition of employment to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policyPerform other duties as requiredBasic qualifications include:Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalentFour (4) years of layout, industrial boiler making and metal fabricating work involving fabrication and erection of heavy ducting; layout, fabrication and other metal work similar to that to be accomplished in test facilitiesPre-employment Welding Tests: Must be able to successfully complete and maintain Welder Performance Qualification tests in accordance with ASME Section IX: 1/2" carbon steel plate (A36) SMAW (E7018) double welded. Positions – 2G, 3G, and 4GAll test coupons will be evaluated by radiography in accordance with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section IX, Welding and Brazing QualificationsMust be able to obtain and maintain security clearance and the AEDC local area networkMust be able to read, write, and communicate in English to safely understand and execute technical manuals, safety procedures, and operational instructionsCurrent U. S.
