Licensed Veterinary Technician - Oncology Full-time Veterinary Specialty Center Seattle Lynnwood, Washington Overview The Veterinary Specialty Center of Seattle is a 24‑hour emergency, critical care and specialty hospital offering emergency, critical care, neurology, surgery, internal medicine, cardiology, oncology and radiology services. The Oncology team focuses on providing compassionate, evidence‑based care to pets with cancer. Experience & Skills At least 1 year of clinical veterinary experience Positive, team‑oriented attitude and commitment to a stress‑free environment Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, collaborative setting Flexible schedule and willingness to adapt to hospital needs Active WA State Veterinary Technician license Responsibilities Provide high‑quality care to oncology patients, both hospitalized and outpatient, following a Fear Free approach. Maintain accurate patient records using EzyVet and SmartFlow. Administer injectable and oral medications, including chemotherapeutic agents, and assist with chemotherapy and tissue sampling. Perform venipuncture, cystocentesis, and basic laboratory procedures (blood smears, PCV/TS). Understand hazardous waste handling and chemotherapy safety protocols. Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and ensuring understanding of treatment plans. Support gold standard veterinary care and advocate for patient well‑being.
