Executes range facility opening, closing and operating procedures in accordance with installation, local, and federal laws. Transports guns and ammunition to the range on a daily basis. Requirements Conditions of employment Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. A one year probationary period may be required. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. Must be able to obtain current Installation Range Certification Card, National Rifle Association (NRA) Range Safety Officer Certification, or equivalent certification within 60 days of entrance on duty. Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds without assistance and heavier loads with assistance. Must meet age restrictions (age 18+) for the handling of firearms. A pre-employment drug test is required. A Qualified Candidate Must Possess All Of The Following Prior experience with firing range operations, skeet and trap and firearm safety, and firearms instruction. Must possess basic knowledge of National Skeet Shooting Association (NSSA) rules and scoring. Knowledge of and ability to use a computer and cash register. Possess good customer service skills and have experience working with the general public. Must be able to obtain current instructor-level certification in (at minimum) basic shotgun shooting, and range safety officer, from a recognized national governing body (e.g. NSSA, NRA, NSCA, NACFI, etc.) within 60 days of entrance on duty.
