Ultrasound Technologist

The Ultrasound Technologist performs and assists with various types of ultrasound procedures, adhering to protocols established by the radiologists. Key responsibilities include preparing and maintaining ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper patient preparation, and operating ultrasound machinery.

This role is situated within a high-risk obstetric specialty practice that offers advanced prenatal ultrasound, fetal monitoring, genetic counseling, and maternal-fetal medicine services for pregnant patients with complex medical or pregnancy-related conditions. The multidisciplinary team comprises obstetric providers, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, sonographers, nurses, and support staff, all working together to ensure timely diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment planning for patients throughout the continuum of pregnancy.

Work Schedule:

• Shift Times: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday
• Call Requirements: No call
• Weekend Requirements: No weekends
• Holiday Requirements: No holidays

Patient Care Environment:

• Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:1 in an outpatient hospital clinic setting
• Unit Size: 6 sonographer exam rooms
• Daily Cases Seen: 8-12

Qualifications:

• Experience Required: 2+ years in Ultrasound, preferably with high-risk obstetrics, maternal-fetal medicine, or experience with level 2 detailed anatomy ultrasounds
• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Required; Non-Degree Program graduate of a 2-year AMA approved Ultrasound program Required
• Previous Travel Experience: Not required
• Certifications Required: RDMS-OB; BLS preferred
• Licenses Required: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
