Consumer Products Litigation Associate

Overview The role involves supporting the firm's automotive consumer litigation practice. Responsibilities include handling most aspects of litigation, such as managing discovery requests and responses, drafting and arguing motions, conducting research, drafting memoranda and correspondence, attending hearings and court conferences, taking and defending depositions, and assisting with trial preparations and trial. A background in products liability and/or consumer law is considered a plus. Posting details Squire Patton Boggs (US) LLP, a global law firm, seeks a Litigation Associate with a minimum of 1 year of general litigation experience. The individual hired for this position will support our automotive consumer litigation practice and will be responsible for handling most aspects of litigation, including managing discovery requests and responses, drafting and arguing motions, conducting research, drafting memoranda and correspondence, attending hearings and court conferences, taking and defending depositions, and assisting with trial preparations and trial. Academic and Professional Qualifications Posses a JD from an accredited law school and must be admitted to the California Bar. Knowledge, Skills & Experience Products liability and/or consumer law background a plus. Superior research and analytical abilities. Excellent written and verbal skills. Ability to work independently and take initiative. Salary and Benefits The salary range for this position is $170,000 to $215,000 per year, depending on skills and experience.
