We are seeking Interior Design Consultants or Design Graduates to help create dynamic home décor designs and furnish happiness for our customers. Compensation Annual salary range: $55,000 to $100,000+. In 2025 the national average earnings for an Interior Design Consultant were $84,000. Schedule Required to work 5 days a week. Retail hours are Monday–Saturday 10 am–7 pm and Sunday 12 pm–6 pm, including nights, weekends, and on‑call for in‑home appointments. Responsibilities Collaborate with customers and sales consultants to create beautiful rooms and recommend furniture and accessories for a finished look. Provide in‑home, in‑store, and virtual consultations to understand customers’ style, budget, and space. Create floor plans and photo‑realistic 3‑D renderings of Haverty’s furniture and accessories in the customer’s home. Assist sales consultants in closing transactions by applying design knowledge. Schedule or attend qualified home visits as required. Coordinate with customers during home visits and final presentations to review selected items, pricing, and delivery schedules. Provide feedback to sales consultants and branch managers after each home visit and upon completion of floor plans and presentation boards. Assist with the creation of special‑order SKUs to increase sales reserves. Offer constructive feedback to customers to build sales and increase average tickets. Maintain knowledge of special sales, financing plans, delivery procedures, warranties, etc. Use My Sales Center to access and follow‑up with customers. Maintain knowledge of broad range of furniture styles and products. Maintain consistent sales levels and other key metrics as required by management. Participate in sales training directly on the sales floor to understand the Haverty’s customer engagement process. Benefits Paid comprehensive training. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in interior design or a related field; OR 2–4 years of related experience and/or training; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. ASID certification preferred. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; personal transportation required for in‑home appointments. Minimum state‑required car insurance must be verified. Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience using a room planner software is beneficial. Preferred: proficiency with internet software and full‑shot image software.
