Responsible for the day to day operations of Lead Mental Health Technicians, Mental Health Technicians and Nurses to enhance the quality of patient care. Provides sufficient staffing and schedules personnel according to census and acuity.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Training Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Associate of Nursing required; BSN preferred Experience At least 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in psychiatric, mental health, and/or rehabilitation nursing. At least 3 years supervisory/management experience preferred Licensure/Certification Current North Carolina State Registered Nurse License Current North Carolina Driver's License Current CPR Certification CPI Certification Knowledge and Skills Management skills with the ability to identify problems and recommend solutions. Able to develop and implement policies and procedures. Knowledge of psychiatric, medical, and rehabilitative procedures. Knowledge of applicable State and federal regulations and JCAHO standards. Knowledge of appropriate nursing assessment, diagnoses, & interventions with patients. Knowledge of milieu management. Ability to direct subordinates in the performance of their duties. Ability to accurately administer medication and monitor side-effects. Ability to safely implement Special Treatment Procedures.
