Welder/Fabricator

Pay: $16-21 per hour

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. This is an entry level position. We are looking for someone with a welding certification and some knowledge of fabrication. You will be trained to fabricate steel and learn all aspects of the trade. This role involves working with various materials and tools to create high-quality components for our projects. Must be able to read a tape measure accurately.

Responsibilities

• Shear steel Plates and Angles in a hydraulic Ironworker.
• Layout and punch holes in steel Plates and Angles using a hydraulic Ironworker.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts.
• Perform welding tasks using a MIG machine
• Grind and remove slag from any burned work pieces
• Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Operate cranes and rigging equipment safely during the fabrication process.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area on the construction site.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the fabrication process.

Requirements

• Must be able to read a tape measure accurately and show potential in laying out small parts for fabrication on a hydraulic ironworker
• Must have a welding certification and be able to perform welds in the flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Must have the stamina to operate power and hand tools for long periods of time. Doing repetitive tasks.
• Must be able to lift pieces of steel when required
• Must have a good attitude and work well with others
• Must be able to follow directions
• Experience operating cranes and rigging equipment is preferred.
• Familiarity with machining processes is a plus.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
