Project Assistant Location: Champaign IL Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM-4:00 PM or 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Employment Type: Full-Time Position Summary Are you someone who enjoys keeping projects organized, solving problems, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks? What You'll Do Support Project Success Partner with Project Managers to keep projects organized, on schedule, and running efficiently. Schedule meetings, coordinate project activities, and track important milestones and deadlines. Maintain accurate project documentation, records, and electronic files. Update project management systems, spreadsheets, and reports with current project information. Be the Communication Hub Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal team members. Coordinate communication between the office and field teams to ensure projects stay on track. Follow up on outstanding action items and provide timely project updates. Build positive relationships through professional phone and email communication. Keep Operations Running Smoothly Prepare reports, organize project files, and ensure documentation is accurate and complete. Assist with purchasing, scheduling, and administrative workflows. Support compliance and documentation requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Jump in wherever needed to help the team deliver successful projects. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. 1-3 years of administrative, project support, or project coordination experience preferred. Experience in construction, telecommunications, utilities, engineering, or other project-based industries is a plus. Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel. Experience with project management software, ERP systems, or similar business applications is preferred. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
