Quality Inspector (QC Technician) - Aerospace - 1st Shift

Quality Inspector (QC Technician) – Aerospace – 1st Shift As a Quality Inspector , you will play a critical role in ensuring our products meet customer and regulatory requirements through detailed inspections and reporting. Key Responsibilities Perform dimensional and visual inspections on castings, machined metal, and plastic components Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and 2D/3D design documentation Conduct first article (FAIR), first piece, and in-process inspections Use CMM equipment and precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, height gauges, fixtures) Complete 100% inspection reports and nonconformance documentation Program and operate CMMs for complex and repeat inspections Analyze inspection data and ensure compliance with AS9102 and aerospace standards Maintain accurate quality documentation and inspection records Collaborate with engineering to develop inspection methods and strategies Ensure all products meet customer and internal quality requirements What You Bring Experience as a Quality Inspector, QC Technician, or QA Inspector Strong knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and inspection techniques Experience with precision measuring tools and CMM operation Familiarity with AS9102 FAIRs and aerospace quality standards (preferred) Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality systems Preferred Qualifications 5–10 years of aerospace or manufacturing inspection experience Experience as a DQR (Designated Quality Representative) Background in machine shop environments Knowledge of process improvement methodologies Why Join DRT Aerospace?
