Production Mechanic

$30.96 (High level)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Assist Production Mechanics with mechanical maintenance and repair activities to support manufacturing operations.

·       Help prepare tools, parts, and materials for mechanical work and line setups.

·       Support basic setup and changeover of production equipment under close supervision.

·       Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and maintenance tasks as directed.

·       Assist in troubleshooting equipment by observing and reporting issues to mechanics or supervisors.

·       Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools and shop equipment.

·       Learn safe and proper use of hand tools, power tools, and shop machinery.

·       Follow all company safety policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and standard operating procedures.

·       Keep work areas orderly and clean.

·       Exhibit flexibility and willingness to assist in a variety of maintenance tasks.

·       Display initiative and commitment to supporting the department’s goals.

Qualifications:

·       Some general maintenance or manufacturing experience required.

·       Mechanically inclined, knowledgeable.

·       Desire to develop technical and mechanical skills in a production environment.

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical or trade school coursework in mechanics, manufacturing, or maintenance preferred.

Other Requirements:

• English fluency required.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend.

Physical Working Conditions:

• Ability to stand, bend, and twist for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely (occasionally up to 100 lbs with assistance).
• Exposure to moderate noise, dust, and typical manufacturing conditions.
