Production Mechanic Trainee

Warwick, RI

$28.83 per hour depending on experience (Mid-level)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Learn and support mechanical maintenance activities to assist in maintaining production operations.
• Participate in setup of line configurations under supervision, following manufacturing and quality specifications.
• Assist in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical issues on production equipment.
• Support the fabrication and repair of parts under guidance, including learning to weld, braze, and use shop tools safely.
• Complete assigned work orders and practice effective communication, both verbally and in writing.
• Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams used in mechanical maintenance.
• Develop skills in operating standard shop and hand tools safely.
• Follow all safety policies, GMPs, and company procedures.

Qualifications:

• Some mechanical or maintenance experience preferred.
• Successful passing of the assessment from mechanics
• Interest in developing a career in industrial maintenance or mechanical trades.

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical or trade school coursework in mechanics, manufacturing, or maintenance preferred.
• Basic computer literacy (Word, Excel) a plus.

Other Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate

Physical Working Conditions:

• Ability to stand, bend, and twist for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely (occasionally up to 100 lbs with assistance).
• Exposure to moderate noise, dust, and typical manufacturing conditions.
