Job Description & Requirements Specialty: CVICU Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/07/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel RN – CVICU / Cardiovascular ICU position. Specialty: ICU – CVICU / Cardiovascular ICU Shift: Nights – 7:00 PM–7:00 AM Schedule: 3x12s Guaranteed Hours: 36 hrs/week Contract: 13 weeks Unit: 20-bed CVICU Trauma Level: Level I EMR: EPIC Weekend: Every other weekend Holiday: Every other holiday Floating: Yes – may float to all levels of care Scrubs: No specific color; clinician provides own Patient Population Post-CABG and valve surgery patients Aortic dissections and AAA Vascular/carotid procedures STEMI, NSTEMI and unstable angina Cardiogenic shock and severe heart failure TAVR patients Cardiomyopathy Ventilated patients Cardiac-related ICU admissions Targeted Temperature Management Required/Preferred Skills 2 years of solid CVICU experience required Strong ICU travel experience preferred Must be able to independently manage high-acuity cardiovascular patients Drip titration experience required Telemetry/strip interpretation required Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills Ventilator, CPAP, BiPAP and high-flow experience Experience with: IABP Impella Swan-Ganz ECMO CRRT Arterial lines Central lines Temporary pacemakers PICC/Midlines Certifications BLS (AHA) required ACLS preferred CCRN preferred About Care Career Care Career brings together a portfolio of leading healthcare staffing organizations, each delivering specialized talent solutions across the industry.
