Job TitleEnsure a safe working environment, safety attitude and executionEnsure all quality systems are in place, identified and executed, so there are no quality escapes from our facilitiesAssist with business development, and business proposalsAccomplish lean manufacturing staffing results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring and appraising job results, coaching, counseling, disciplining employees, initiating, coordinating, enforcing systems, policies, and proceduresMaintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees; developing person growth opportunitiesMaintain workflow by monitoring steps of the process, setting processing variables, observing, monitoring personnel, equipment, and resources, studying methods, implementing cost reductions, developing reporting procedures and systems, facilitating corrections to malfunctions, initiating, and fostering a spirit of cooperation with and between departmentsComplete scheduling and assigning of personnel; accomplish desired work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, resolving problems, reporting results of the project process flow on weekly activity reportsMaintain quality service by establishing and enforcing KIHOMAC organizational procedures and policiesEnsure operation of equipment by establishing and tracking periodic maintenance requirements (TPM), calling for repairs when necessary, evaluating new equipment and techniquesProvide manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data, answering questions, and responding to requestsCreate and revise systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, recordkeeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements, implementing lean manufacturing changeMaintain 5 S – Safe and Clean Work Environment: Educate and direct personnel on the use of all equipment, tooling, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and proceduresResponsible for KIHOMAC Hazardous Waste Program, to include: disposal of hazardous waste, MSDS maintenance, and all environmental regulationsResolve personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identify solutions, recommend action and documenting in personnel fileMaintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establish personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participate in professional societiesContribute to team effort by carrying out related results as neededIdentify capital expenditures for 5-year plan and work with management for approval and implementationOther duties as assignedManagerial DutiesResponsible to execute personnel-related activities to include:Create realistic and accurate job descriptionsDirect employee workload to ensure productivity and performance against job descriptionEngage to manage positive employee relations and workplace atmosphere; work to resolve any personnel issuesConduct ongoing feedback – both informal and semiannual feedback, counseling if necessaryAdvise management as to which employees deserve recognition including but not limited to raises, promotions and awardsManage accuracy of employee timecardsEnsure employees receive and perform any required training for position and company needsGuide employees to ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies/processesServe as link between upper management and employees; disseminate company information as appropriate – goals/changes/updates/newsCoordinate with Director and/or VP on corporate mattersParticipate in proposal writing and business development activities as guided by VP of PMGOther managerial duties as assigned
