About the Position

Job Title: CST/ORT Profession: Surgical Technologist Specialty: First Assist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-17:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Virginia License Certifications: Required certifications as per position Description: Unit Information: Number of Beds: 16 Operating Rooms: Multiple Number of Staff: One team of RN, SA, and surgical tech per operating room for day shift. Call is required on weekends and nights. Day Shift Staff: 16 RNs, 16 Surgical Assistants, and 16 Surgical Techs. Evening Shift Staff: Tapered to 4 teams from 3-5 PM, 2 teams from 5-7 PM, and 1 team from 7-11 PM. Call begins for additional 2 teams at 3 PM. Night Shift: Call only. Patient Ratios: 1:1 Type of Equipment: Robotic equipment, neurosurgery, general surgery, plastics, urology, orthopedics, etc. EMR System: Meditech Skill Set Most Recruited for: Must Have: - Robotic experience - Orthopedic experience - Neuro/spine experience Preferred: Typical procedures performed include all except transplant and cardiac surgery. Best Personality Fit: Team player is preferred. Floating Areas: None Dress Code: Client provided scrubs. Weekends and On-call: Call rotation averages 2 call shifts per week, which includes weekday night and weekend primary and backup shifts. General Comments: No additional positions available.
