Job Description A retail pharmacy position is available for a licensed pharmacist in Altoona, PA. This direct hire opportunity offers a variable schedule working day and afternoon shifts with bi-weekly hours totaling 74. The role focuses on managing and growing pharmacy operations within a retail setting while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Foster a collaborative partnership with the store operations team to promote associate engagement and communicate company strategies. Ensure accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions through thorough Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance in line with state and federal regulations. Drive business growth by implementing clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM) when available. Manage inventory by monitoring weekly sales and ordering stock to meet customer demand and maximize profitability. Align departmental performance objectives with measurable metrics to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Provide exceptional customer service, addressing medical queries and offering healthcare counseling. Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff; oversee training, coaching, discipline, and overall management. Maintain pharmacy security and resolve customer issues to build trust and loyalty. Communicate and collaborate with physicians, utilizing reference materials to resolve prescription-related concerns. Maintain a clean, organized pharmacy environment and promote continuous staff development to improve performance and control labor costs. Prioritize departmental tasks such as cycle counts, inventory management, and will-calls to ensure timely completion. Qualifications: Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree. Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License. Current Pennsylvania Immunization License.
