Senior Java Software Engineer - VoIP

Overview Talent Groups is seeking a Senior Java Engineer to join a VoIP product company designing and delivering software solutions for voice and video communication platforms. This role focuses on building and maintaining applications that support VoIP services, including call routing, call recording, and communication systems used in secure environments. The ideal candidate has strong hands on Java development experience and knowledge of VoIP or SIP based communication systems. This position will collaborate with cross functional engineering teams and participate in lab testing for communication infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain scalable software solutions supporting VoIP voice and video communication services Design and implement backend services using Java and Spring Boot Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and communication service integrations Support call routing and call recording applications within the communication platform Participate in code reviews, design documentation, and development best practices Analyze complex technical challenges and deliver reliable solutions within deadlines Collaborate with architects, QA teams, production support, and other development teams Participate in onsite lab testing and validation of communication systems Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical design discussions Conduct technical interviews and assist with development estimates Required Skills 5+ years of professional software development experience Strong hands on Java development experience Experience building backend services using Spring or Spring Boot Experience designing and building REST APIs Experience working with relational databases Experience with Git version control and modern development practices Strong debugging and problem solving skills Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field 7+ years of software development experience Experience working in Linux environments Experience with Oracle databases Experience developing multi threaded high performance applications Experience with SIP and VoIP communication protocols Experience with tools such as Asterisk, Kamailio, Web SIP JS, or audio/video codecs Experience developing CTI or call processing applications such as call center platforms, IVR, or voicemail systems Experience with AWS or cloud infrastructure Experience with CI/CD tools and GitHub or Bitbucket branching strategies Experience with application security tools such as Veracode or Snyk #J-18808-Ljbffr Talent Groups
