The Senior Commercial Banking Team Lead will oversee a portfolio of middle-market C&I clients with revenues between $10 million and $100 million, while guiding the team to deliver outstanding relationship management, credit execution, and holistic banking solutions. The Senior Commercial Banking Team Lead will oversee a portfolio of middle-market C&I clients with revenues between $10 million and $100 million, while guiding the team to deliver outstanding relationship management, credit execution, and holistic banking solutions. This leadership role combines hands-on lending expertise with a commitment to coaching and team development, fully embodying GBC’s values of Service, Expertise, and Relationships. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Commercial Relationship Managers, fostering collaboration and performance excellence. Drive business development strategies across lending, deposits, and treasury management to expand GBC’s market presence. Maintain and grow a personal portfolio of C&I relationships. Ensure credit integrity by overseeing proposal preparation, risk assessment, and documentation. Collaborate across departments to enhance the client experience. Represent GBC in professional and civic communities, supporting growth consistent with the Bank’s strategic objectives and values. Requirements At least 10 years of commercial lending experience, ideally at a local community or regional bank. Prior experience leading relationship management or lending teams. Strong understanding of C&I portfolio management and underwriting. Formal credit training preferred. Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Exceptional communication and coaching abilities. Strategic thinking and organizational excellence. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills. Innovative mindset with disciplined execution.
