Airport Passenger Service Agent - JAL - JFK

Location: Jamaica, New York. Base Pay Rate: $21.25 per hour. Position type: Part Time, Non-Exempt. Shift: A.M., Overnight, P.M. (varies days). Passenger Service Agents are the first line of defense for our customers! This is a customer-facing role, providing first-class customer service to everyone. You are friendly, outgoing, and love to make people happy daily! Responsibilities Assist passengers with a smile and friendly face through the arrival and check-in process, including support for passengers with special needs such as unaccompanied minors, VIP passengers, and passengers needing wheelchair assistance. Handle all aspects of arrival and departure functions, ticketing, gate handling, and check-in by operating a computerized system. System usage includes boarding, baggage service, reservations and resolving related complaints and problems such as lost and found issues. Perform customer relations duties and responsibilities which include providing information for airline passengers regarding their travelling needs and assisting them with special requests and considerations. Handle passport/VISA documentation. Interact with all levels of individuals such as passengers, employees, customers, corporate representatives, and the general public. Qualifications Fluency in Japanese, Filipino, Vietnamese, Indonesian, or Chinese is a requirement. Show exceptional customer service abilities to all clientele. Must be able to walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop on a frequent basis for extended periods. Must be able to lift/carry/push/pull and move items of 70 pounds and/or more on a regular basis and repetitively lift weights of 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces. Able to work in extreme conditions, such as hot and cold weather, as well as small spaces. Flexible schedule allowing work during nights, weekends, and holidays.
