This position ensures building systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable regulations, codes, and company standards. This position requires availability for scheduling 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays and weekends.Essential Job FunctionsRespond to emergency service calls and equipment failures.Operate, monitor, and maintain boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, pumps, compressors, cooling towers, and related mechanical equipment.Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control system issues.Monitor system performance and make operational adjustments to maintain efficiency and occupant comfort.Inspect equipment for leaks, unusual noises, vibrations, pressure irregularities, or safety concerns.Maintain proper water chemistry and treatment levels for boiler systems, when applicable.Replace filters, belts, motors, valves, bearings, thermostats, gauges, and other system components.Maintain accurate and timely completion of work orders, documentation and deadlines.Maintains proper flow of communication with other SE and management team.Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards, environmental regulations, and company safety policies.Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and facility personnel as needed.Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.Perform other duties as assigned.Education/ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED5 years' experience of verified Journey Level Stationary EngineerCurrent Boiler License or Stationary Engineer LicenseKnowledge of electrical and mechanical operation and maintenance of power generation equipment is required.Skills/AbilitiesStrong computer skills.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and control diagrams.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to coordinate and prioritizePhysical DemandsMust be able to stand, walk, sit for prolonged periodsMust be able to bend, stoop, climb, reach, stretch, kneel, and squat.Must be able to perform repetitive tasks or motions for prolonged periods.Must have sufficient physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina to complete various tasks.Must be able to work in personal protective clothing and equipment, such as coveralls, safety glasses, and gloves.Work EnvironmentThis role requires work in a non-office setting, outdoor and industrial locations.Work requires exposure to heat/cold, noise, dust, mist, and/or fumes.Required the ability to climb ladders and work at heights.We require wearing personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, fall protection harness, protective-toe footwear, gloves, hard hat, and hearing protection.Work hazards include electrical shock and noise hazardsOutdoors with exposure to various weather conditions.Special RequirementsAbility to pass a pre-employment background screening.Must be able to be cleared for base or site access.You must possess a valid and unrestricted driver's license.You must complete all mandated training requirements per government and management directives.Position will require rotating on-call ability within the departmentMust be able to communicate clearly in the English Language per contractAleut offers the following benefits to eligible employees:Health insuranceDental/Vision insurancePaid Time OffShort- and Long-Term DisabilityLife insurance401 (k) and matchAleut Federal, LLC provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or genetics.
