Job Summary:
The Insurance Verification Representative is responsible for verifying insurance coverage and supporting the Core Unit team within Penn Medicine at Home. This role involves processing insurance data, managing communication with Managed Care Companies, and ensuring accurate authorization and eligibility information.

Responsibilities:

• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for existing patients to ensure current plan details.
• Process and document insurance information, including entering authorizations into the database.
• Communicate with Managed Care Companies to follow up on authorization approvals and returns.
• Run assigned reports to monitor insurance verification status and assist in reimbursement processes.
• Support team members by coordinating insurance-related tasks and providing administrative assistance.

Qualifications:

• Possess previous experience in insurance verification or healthcare administrative support.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills for effective liaison with Managed Care Companies.
• Have proficiency in using database systems and report generation tools.
• Hold relevant certifications or training in healthcare administration or insurance verification preferred.
