Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse

Join a highly recognized and reputable healthcare facility. The hospital has received numerous awards for clinical quality and patient safety. It serves as a regional referral center for trauma and specialized care. The unit consists of 44 beds and employs a diverse staff to provide excellent care. Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, and 1 unit secretary. Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 10 RNs, 4 CNAs, and 1 unit secretary. Patient ratios on day shift are 1:6 and on night shift are 1:7. The unit is equipped with telemetry monitors, PCA pumps, wound vacs, and other necessary equipment. Electronic medical records are managed using Cerner. Candidates must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced and energetic environment. Good communication skills are essential for collaboration with the charge nurse, unit secretary, providers, and CNAs. Unit procedures include managing various drains, feeding tubes, and performing assessments on post-surgery patients. Candidates with a positive and engaging demeanor will fit well in this environment. Weekend shifts are required as part of the regular schedule. Scrub attire consists of navy blue pants and navy blue or white scrub tops.
