In this role you will you will be part of a talented and mission oriented professional team of federal engineers, active-duty Naval Officers and Contract staff who are willing to roll up their sleeves and get missile defense capability out to the Fleet.What You'll Be Doing:Support new construction shipbuilding programs, with proven project management experience.Provide guidance and understanding of USN ship installation requirements and processes.Ensure the accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of engineering documentation (requirements, design modifications, etc.) and support vessel construction, commissioning, testing, and final handover.Prepare and present platform product status updates, reports, and technical briefings to stakeholders and Foreign Military Sale (FMS) customer. Rapidly assess the scope of construction-impacting technical issues and expedite communication (data and information) of the issue appropriate cognizant SME and program office representative to drive resolution.Clearly and concisely communicate the scope, status, and potential impact of the technical issue to ensure construction schedule impacts are understood by the MDA and Japan shipbuilder teams.Identify areas that slow down or do not support acceleration of approvals of technical issues and resolutions.What Required Skills You'll Bring:US Citizenship with Active Secret ClearanceBachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or related field, or equivalent work experience that meets guidelines established for job Master's Degree or equivalent, may be preferred at this level8+ years of related professional experienceMastery of MS Office suite and familiarity with collaborative tools such as Jira, Confluence or TeamsAegis Weapon System ExperienceWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:Master’s Degree and 12+ years of experience; OR Bachelor's Degree with 20+ years of experienceActive TS/SCI ClearancePrior experience with Weapons Systems DeploymentExperience with Missile Systems EngineeringTechnical experience in one of the following areas: Fleet operations, systems engineering, missile systems, Aegis Qualifications, etc. Security Clearance Requirement:An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.​This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.The Federal Solutions segment delivers resources to our US government customers that ensure the success of missions around the globe.
