Manufacturing Technician II

In this role, you will play a key part in the processing and packaging of human tissue products used for transplantation, working hands on in a cleanroom manufacturing setting while supporting and mentoring others on the production floor.

What will you be doing?

• Executing hands on manufacturing activities for human tissue products in compliance with FDA cGMP cGTP requirements, AATB standards, and company SOPs
• Following batch production records and applying good documentation practices to ensure product quality and compliance
• Cleaning, preparing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment to support daily production activities
• Supporting technology transfer from R&D into the manufacturing environment
• Identifying opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency, compliance, and operational excellence
• Supporting inventory management and ensuring appropriate supply levels within the production area
• Providing on the floor guidance, mentoring, and constructive feedback to Manufacturing Technicians
• Assisting with training, production planning, scheduling, and cross functional manufacturing tasks
• Championing 5S, housekeeping, and general upkeep across cleanroom and production areas
• Collaborating closely with Manufacturing Supervisors to prioritize and coordinate daily manufacturing activities

What will you need to be successful?

• Associate degree in a life science or equivalent combination of education and GMP experience
• Minimum of 9 months of relevant manufacturing experience in an FDA regulated controlled environment
• Strong understanding of aseptic technique and cleanroom operations
• Experience following SOPs, batch production records, and documentation best practices
• Ability to work in a fast paced, highly regulated manufacturing environment with changing priorities
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as required

The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $25.24 -$37.86 USD hourly. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role at Smith + Nephew. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
