We offer a flexible working schedule, paid time off, increased holiday pay, employee development and advancement opportunities, and a variety of insurances to suit your needs.Compensation: $19.00 to $20.00 per hour, depending on education & experienceLocation:This role is responsible for traveling around the Duluth area to meet with clients in home and in the communityHours of Position:Flexible scheduling!Days, afternoons, and/or eveningsWeekdays and/or weekendsPart-time or full-time availableTypical Job Duties:Implementing and following the person-centered, positive practice behavior support plan for individuals to maintain or improve areas of independent living such as budgeting, maintaining services, meal prep/planning, employment, etc.Meet or exceed direct client time target of 90% with no more than 10% indirect time (driving, training, etc.)Demonstrate a working knowledge of consumer(s) history, skills, vulnerabilities, support plans and emergency proceduresProvide support and supervision as defined in each support plan, using therapeutic interventions, while ensuring consumer safetyEncourage local community setting/resources by remaining within a 10 miles radius of the clients' homeRegularly travel in the community and transport clientsAbility to develop and maintain professionally appropriate and respectful therapeutic relationships with each client and the client's familyMaintain a clean, professional, and pleasant appearance for effective role modeling to the residentsRequirements for All Applicants:You must be at least 18 years of age and be able to read, write, and speak English in a fluent mannerDriver's license with access to working vehicle to transport clients & ability to pass MVR checkThe ability to pass a MN DHS background studyA mobile device that can receive & send phone calls and capability of downloading our application for documentationAdditional Requirements for Counselor II Level:A Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field preferredOR an Associate's Degree in a Social Services DisciplineOR two years (4,174 hours) of supervised experience working with individuals who exhibit challenging behaviors as well as co-occurring mental disorders or neurocognitive disorderBenefits:Health Insurance (Full-Time, 1 Year Waiting Period for Part-Time)Dental InsuranceVision InsuranceShort & Long Term DisabilityLife InsuranceCritical IllnessHospital ConfinementAccident InsuranceDependent Care FSAPaid Time OffHoliday Pay for Hours Worked on Eligible HolidaysPerformance -Based Wage IncreasesEmployee Assistance ProgramFlexible ScheduleMileage ReimbursementWe are a growing company which can lead to opportunities for advancement and we take pride in employee development and training!
