In addition to performing the duties of the Surgical Technologist, the Senior Surgical Technologist functions in a specialty service and utilizes and troubleshoots service implementation and equipment and is a resource to the Surgical Technicians.

assistant staffing needs.

1. Assists the Clinical Supervisor and CNIII with service-related activities such as checking carts, ordering

supplies, etc.

1. Collaborates with other members of the specialty service team regarding patient care decisions and

operational issues.

H. Communicates patient information in a timely fashion and maintains confidentiality.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• One year experience as a Surgical Technician
• Demonstrated competency in more than one surgical specialty
• Active American Heart Association CPR Certification
• Graduate of Surgical Technologist Training Program; or equivalent experience.
• High School Diploma; or equivalent experience
• The flexibility to orient or work at all UCSF Health locations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification as a Surgical Technician

License/Certifications:
