Surgical Technologist - Stanyan OR

Job Description The Surgical Technologist assists in the preparation, processing, and maintenance of supplies and equipment, and functions as a member of the surgical team during operative procedures. Operating Room Details UCSF Stanyan Operating Room (OR) consists of 8 surgical suites for inpatient and outpatient surgeries. Services include, but are not limited to: Orthopedics, General, Ophthalmology, Plastics, Pain Service, General Surgery, Vascular, Urology, Podiatry. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation, processing, and maintenance of surgical supplies and equipment. Serve as a member of the surgical team during operative procedures. Maintain knowledge and skills essential to job performance and adhere to behavioral standards. Account for work performance to the Nurse Service Supervisor. Qualifications – Required Current American Heart Association (AHA) CPR certification for healthcare providers. High School Diploma or equivalent experience. Graduate of a surgical technologist training program or equivalent experience. Flexibility to work at all UCSF Medical Center locations. Preferred Qualifications Certification as a Surgical Technologist. Scrub experience in Ophthalmology, OHNS, Robotics, Urology, Gynecology, OMFS, Plastics.
