Job Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients from pediatric to adult and geriatric demographics using both standardized assessments and observational methods.

• Deliver one-on-one speech therapy sessions focused on communication techniques, language strategies, fluent speech enhancement, vocal rehabilitation, and swallowing interventions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to formulate integrated care approaches.
• Educate patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond the clinical setting.
• Assist with occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations, ensuring a seamless continuity of care throughout the patient's journey.
• Maintain precise and prompt documentation in accordance with state, federal, and institutional regulations.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through continued learning and collaboration with peers.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of an accredited Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) prior to achieving ASHA certification is mandated.

Licensure and Certification

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
