RN Nurse Lead – Medical ICU (URGENT)

Facility: Adventist Health Sonora
Location: Sonora, CA
Unit: Medical ICU / Stepdown (6 ICU + 6 SDU beds)

Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift | 3x12s
Hours: 36–48 hrs/week
Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
Floating: ICU ↔ SDU (possible med-surg/ED if needed)
EMR: Cerner | Medication System: Pyxis

Pay

• $62 – $64/hr

• Weekly Pay:

  • 36 hrs: $2,232 – $2,304/week

  • 48 hrs: $2,976 – $3,072/week

Required Credentials

• Active California RN License required

• BLS required

• ACLS required

• PALS required

• ICU/critical care experience required

• Supervisory/leadership experience required

• BSN or equivalent required

• Experience managing ICU-level drips (vasopressors, propofol, fentanyl, etc.)

• Experience with ventilators, BiPAP, and critical care monitoring

Responsibilities

• Provide unit-based leadership in ICU/SDU

• Supervise and coordinate nursing staff

• Ensure safe, high-quality patient care delivery

• Manage staffing assignments and patient flow

• Support critically ill patients (sepsis, respiratory failure, DKA, cardiac conditions)

• Oversee compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards

• Participate in patient care and clinical decision support

• Coordinate with physicians, hospitalists, and interdisciplinary teams
