Business Development Analysts in private capital support fundraising, investor outreach, and relationship management for alternative investment funds. The role combines financial analysis, market research, and client engagement in a fast-paced environment.
These analysts work closely with senior business development professionals, investor relations teams, and portfolio managers to identify, cultivate, and manage institutional investor relationships.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the identification and engagement of prospective institutional investors
Conduct research on investor profiles, market trends, and private capital allocation strategies
Assist in preparing pitch materials, presentations, and marketing collateral for fundraising initiatives
Track investor communications, manage CRM databases, and maintain relationship records
Collaborate with investment and portfolio teams to provide updates on fund performance, strategy, and market positioning
Prepare investor reporting materials, including quarterly updates and ad-hoc analyses
Support business development campaigns, outreach initiatives, and event coordination
Monitor fundraising progress, investor commitments, and capital deployment metrics
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
Strong understanding of private capital markets, fund structures, and investment strategies
Experience or coursework in business development, investor relations, or fundraising (preferred but not required)
Excellent research, analytical, and quantitative skills with attention to detail
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills for client-facing interactions
Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced, time-sensitive environments
