PACU Registered Nurse - Rotating Shifts

Schedule

This position involves 8-12 hour rotating shifts (Day/Evening). Weekend and call requirements depend on schedule needs and staff picks.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled PACU Registered Nurse with high acuity critical care experience in a large teaching hospital. The ideal candidate will possess strong PACU skills and demonstrated proficiency in critical care scenarios, including the management of art lines, multiple titrating drips, and cardiac monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to patients in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
• Monitor patient recovery and vital signs post-surgery.
• Administer medications and manage IV drips as per protocol.
• Collaborate with medical teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in on-call duties as scheduled.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a PACU setting.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required.
• Experience in high acuity critical care and PACU procedures.
• Proficiency with Epic EMR within the last two years is nonnegotiable.
• Must possess reliable transportation, as public transport is not accessible in the area.
