Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
Experience: Must have 4+ years of accounting experience
Skills: Strong financial statement preparation , budgeting , and Microsoft Excel skills required

Our growing client is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage the financial operations of a portfolio of properties. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys financial analysis, budgeting, and collaborating with operations teams to support sound financial decision-making and organizational success.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant will include:

Manage the financial activities of an assigned property portfolio
Prepare bank reconciliations and monthly financial statements
Monitor cash flow and support cash management activities
Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable financial reporting requirements
Prepare financial reports, analyses, and supporting schedules
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls
Analyze budget variances and present findings to management
Prepare ad hoc financial reports and cash flow projections
Support property transitions, acquisitions, and special accounting projects
Assist with audits and regulatory reporting
Develop and improve accounting procedures and process documentation
Collaborate with property management and leadership to improve financial performance and operational efficiency

Qualifications for the role of Senior Accountant :

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance , or a related field
4+ years of accounting experience
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities
Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel , Word , and Microsoft Office applications

Preferred:

Experience in real estate or property management
Experience with Entrata property management software
