Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
Experience: Must have 4+ years of accounting experience
Skills: Strong financial statement preparation , budgeting , and Microsoft Excel skills required

Our growing client is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage the financial operations of a portfolio of properties. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys financial analysis, budgeting, and collaborating with operations teams to support sound financial decision-making and organizational success.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant will include:

• Manage the financial activities of an assigned property portfolio
• Prepare bank reconciliations and monthly financial statements
• Monitor cash flow and support cash management activities
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable financial reporting requirements
• Prepare financial reports, analyses, and supporting schedules
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls
• Analyze budget variances and present findings to management
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports and cash flow projections
• Support property transitions, acquisitions, and special accounting projects
• Assist with audits and regulatory reporting
• Develop and improve accounting procedures and process documentation
• Collaborate with property management and leadership to improve financial performance and operational efficiency

Qualifications for the role of Senior Accountant :

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance , or a related field
• 4+ years of accounting experience
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel , Word , and Microsoft Office applications

Preferred:

• Experience in real estate or property management
• Experience with Entrata property management software
