2nd Shift Maintenance Technician

Maintenance PositionThe Maintenance position performs repair and preventative maintenance tasks on operational equipment, building, and grounds.A. M. We provide exceptional benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, 401K match, disability benefits and tuition reimbursement.Schedule: Monday - Thursday 4pm - 2am Compensation: $21 during the 90-day probationary period, $33.40/hr +.30c shift differential after probationary period.Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:Essential Primary Responsibilities:Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, pumps, conveyors, belts, fans, air conditioners, etc.Examines mechanical equipment to diagnose issue.Disassembles machines and repairs or replaces broken parts.Adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary.Cleans and lubricates parts.Coordinates and/or assists in outside repair services.Orders replacement parts.Inspects complete repairs.Maintains records of repair and maintenance.Maintains a clean and safe work environment.Responsible for special projects as assigned.Reads and follows manuals, blueprints, and other written instructions.Keeps a maintenance log and writes shift reports.Notifying management when parts orders are needed for repairsClean, oil, and test equipment on a regular schedule to stop failures.Ability to work under minimal supervision.Utilize and operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete assignments/maintenance. Maintain tools and equipment in a clean, safe, and usable manner.Physical Demands/Working Conditions:Stooping, standing, and manual dexterityLight lifting (occasional 25 lbs or less)Heavy lifting (frequent 25 lbs+)Assigned safety equipment must be worn at all times (hard hat, safety shoes with metatarsal, safety glasses with side shields, gloves, arm guards)Frequent exposure to mechanical moving partsMinimum Qualifications:Required Experience: Type, Skills, and Years:Two years of warehouse experienceKnowledge of all warehouse equipment and commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a warehouse environmentBasic measurement competencyBasic math competencyStrong work ethicRequired Specialized Certifications:Capable of being certified in assigned equipment (forklift, Raymond side-loader, overhead crane, etc.)Required Education:High school graduate or equivalentPreferred Qualifications:One-year of maintenance experiencePC literacyCertified in assigned equipment (forklift, Raymond side-loader, overhead crane, etc.)We are an Equal Opportunity EmployerPlease view Equal Employment Opportunity Posters provided by OFCCPCompany Overview: Founded in 1890, A.
