2nd shift Maintenance technician

Job Description

A growing operation is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support the inspection, repair, and upkeep of material handling equipment and assist with minor building maintenance. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair material handling equipment
Perform routine checks on electrical and power units throughout the facility
Identify malfunctions and complete needed repairs on electrical systems and vehicle engines
Handle light building maintenance including changing bulbs, painting, caulking, and similar repairs
Maintain records of service cycles and maintenance work performed
Report damages, defects, and equipment issues to leadership
Order spare and replacement parts and complete related documentation
Assist with daily inventory counts
Move equipment between buildings as needed
Follow all safety procedures, GMP requirements, and company policies
Support additional maintenance-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Prior maintenance mechanic experience in an industrial, warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment
Understanding of electrical testing and repair related to material handling equipment
Ability to safely and effectively use hand tools and power tools
Forklift experience preferred
Strong communication and time management skills
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
High school diploma or GED required
Ability to work cooperatively with others and maintain a positive attitude

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, twist, and move throughout the shift
Ability to perform physical work for extended periods of time
