Seasonal Color Coordinator

You do not need to have held the exact title of “Seasonal Color Coordinator” to be considered. We are looking for someone with a strong eye for plant material and color combinations, good organizational skills, and the ability to help coordinate seasonal displays from planning through installation. Seasonal Color Coordinator – Job Description & General Duties:

· Design and create spectacular floral projects tailored to client requests and in accordance with company standards

· Assist clients with flower and plant selection as requested

· Meet inventory ordering deadline collaborating with the Purchasing & Logistics Manager

· Substitute comparable items as needed if primary selections are unavailable

· Schedule and coordinate unloading of plants upon delivery verifying invoice accuracy

· Ensure sufficient irrigation is operational to protect plant inventory until used

· Lead and direct projects to completion/Train planters and other staff as necessary

· Submit all needed data to accurately bill each job keeping track of all expenses

· Reduce plant waste to company goals and non-perishable inventory to items to actual use

· Keep non-perishable inventory well organized, charged to jobs when utilized, properly secured, and counted at month ends when in use with any deviations submitted to Purchasing & Logistics Manager

· Charge setup / assembly time to customer jobs

· Determine what inventory items can be used on annual renewable tasks within our current job portfolio within the next year

· Dispose of excess items via sale / disposal

· Additional duties will be assigned as determined.

Skills/Qualifications:

 

· Minimum of 3 years of experience working with flowers in either the landscape industry or other capacity

· Must have robust knowledge of floral design for landscape beds and decorative pots. As well as an understanding of which plants perform best under different circumstances

· Ability and willingness to lead holiday decorating efforts, i.e. Christmas lights, wreathes, garland, and other exterior decorating

· Experience purchasing a wide variety of plants from different vendors to get the best pricing

·Experience in office support staff duties preferred

· Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills

· Ability to handle sensitive client information and maintain a high level of confidentiality

· Effective organizational, follow-through and prioritization skills

· Effective decision making, analytical and interpersonal skills

· Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office applications
