Warehouse Supervisor

Our client is a large World Class Tier I automotive supplier with nearly 20,000 employees. This successful company is in the process of filling a Warehouse Supervisor position for their plant located in the Cottondale, AL area. This is a full time direct position.

The successful candidate will have worked as Warehouse Supervisor, Warehousing Supervisor or similar within a high paced manufacturing environment for at least 3 years. Automotive supplier environment experience would be preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervision of warehouse staff and daily activities
• Managing, evaluating and reporting on warehouse productivity
• Tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials
• Ordering supplies & maintaining suitable inventory levels
• Checking orders, bills, items received, inventory, and deliveries to ensure accuracy
• Maintaining records, reporting relevant information, and preparing any/all necessary documentation
• Ensuring basic maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations
• Performing daily inspection of warehouse grounds
• Coordinating and maintaining equipment as needed
• Communicating and coordinating with other departments and customers

Qualifications:

Background Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management
• Time management skills and the ability to delegate
• Excellent leadership and organizational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry software
• Problem-solving skills

Preferred skills and qualifications

• Associates degree (or equivalent) in business administration, logistics or supply chain management
• Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor or a similar management position.
