Representing a direct and decisive way of dressing, the collections are contextualized in curated edits, visuals, and spaces.

TOTEME was founded in 2014 by Elin Kling and Karl Lindman. From the atelier in Stockholm, we create women’s and men’s collections spanning ready-to-wear, shoes, bags, accessories, and jewelry.

The Role
TOTEME is looking for a Buyer to join our team in New York full-time. In this role, you will lead seasonal buying and assortment management for North America, combining strategic planning with hands-on trading to drive product performance in line with TOTEME’s brand and commercial objectives. You will also contribute to developing buying methodologies and ways of working and support colleagues with your expertise. You will report to the Chief Product Officer in Stockholm and work closely with the Merchandising, Planning, Retail, E-commerce and Supply Chain teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead seasonal buying for the North American market, from assortment planning and selection through to finalized orders.

• Build and manage assortments based on store profiles, brand direction, commercial objectives and local market needs.

• Actively trade the assortment by monitoring sales, stock, sell-through and other key performance indicators, identifying and implementing actions to optimize performance.

• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of product, collection and market performance to identify growth and optimization opportunities.

• Manage inventory, stock allocation and inter-market transfers to maintain healthy stock levels and drive sales performance.

• Translate US market and customer insights into actionable plans and future buying strategies in collaboration with Retail, Visual Merchandising, Marketing and Supply Chain.

• Coordinate seasonal priorities, deliveries and product launches across relevant channels and stakeholders.

• Act as a go-to expert within Buying, supporting colleagues in daily operations and contributing to the development of buying methodologies, processes, tools and templates.

• Track and report on key buying KPIs and continuously identify opportunities to improve team processes and commercial performance.

• Participate in and contribute to TOTEME’s social and environmental sustainability strategy.

Your Profile

• Several years of experience in buying or merchandising within fashion or luxury retail, with strong experience of the North American market.

• Strong commercial and analytical skills, with proven experience translating sales, stock, consumer and market data into buying and trading decisions.

• Proven ability to build and manage well-balanced assortments aligned with brand positioning, commercial objectives and customer profiles.

• Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables and VLOOKUP, with experience working with buying, reporting and order management tools.

• Fluent in spoken and written English.

This is a full-time position based at TOTEME's New York office.

The annual salary for this role ranges between $115,000 and $130,000 before tax and will be set according to the applicant’s profile, skills and previous experience.

TOTEME has teams in Stockholm, London, New York, and Shanghai, as well as retail spaces across Europe, North America, and Asia.
