Job Description Job Description Medical Assistant Needed Our busy, single-provider Internal Medicine office is looking for a dependable Medical Assistant who enjoys patient care, communicates professionally, and can stay organized in a fast-paced clinical setting. This role includes both clinical and administrative responsibilities, including electronic medical records, patient communication, and direct support for the provider. Schedule and Pay · Full-time position, Monday through Friday. · Starting pay is $17 per hour during the first 90 days, with potential adjustment after the 90-day evaluation based on experience and performance. · Benefits include 401(k) and paid time off. Responsibilities · Take and record patient vital signs and prepare patients for examinations. · Update patient electronic medical records and ensure required patient forms and consents are completed accurately. · Answer multi-line phones, schedule appointments, assist patients, and relay patient messages to the provider. · Complete forms for Wellness Visits, FMLA, disability, and ALF admission. · Assist the physician with medical treatments, procedures, and exams. · Set up EKG machines, administer minor injections, perform ear lavage, and minor wound care. · Prepare and clean medical equipment and examination rooms, following proper sanitation and biohazard protocols. Qualifications, License, and Certification · Medical Assistant experience preferred. · Electronic medical record experience required; eClinicalWorks experience is a plus. · Medication management experience; refill medications correctly · Strong communication skills and the ability to work professionally with patients, coworkers, and the provider.
