Systems Analyst 3

Systems Analyst 3 Immediate W2 contract position available in Atlanta, GA (Hybrid) or Birmingham, AL (Hybrid). Estimated Duration: 3 years. Job Description This position is responsible for engineering, implementing, and supporting virtualization infrastructure, including server hardware platforms and VMware solutions. Responsibilities Design, deploy, and maintain virtualization infrastructure including VMware ESXi and vCenter. Implement and support server hardware platforms, drive firmware and driver updates. Perform troubleshooting and maintenance of Windows and/or Linux operating systems. Provide second‑level support to other IT areas and maintain service levels. Participate in departmental initiatives, communicate progress and best practices. Diagnose and resolve problems to meet service level expectations. Follow standard processes for hardware, software and project completion, and change management. Engage in a 7×24×365 support organization with on‑call rotation; support may include after‑hours work. Schedule 7×24×365 support organization; some after‑hours work may be required. There is a 6‑member on‑call rotation, with one week per team member. Rotations do not involve overnight work. Qualifications BS/BA in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent work experience. Strong knowledge of server hardware platforms and components (CPU, memory, disks, SAN, BIOS, firmware, drivers). Experience with Dell hardware and VMware ESXi, vCenter. Familiarity with vSAN, vROps, NSX is a plus. Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols such as VLANs, switches, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS. Experience with scripting for automation using PowerCLI is a plus. Basic knowledge of security policies. Ability to support troubleshooting and maintenance of Windows and/or Linux operating systems. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Effective task organization and prioritization, ability to meet schedules and deliver on commitments. High initiative, strong communication skills (oral and written), and ability to build relationships. Understanding of impact on function budget.
