Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a night shift position requiring 2+ years of experience and prior travel assignment history.

Details

General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric patients
Patient ratios of 1:4-5
Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Every other weekend (EOW) required
STEMI and Stroke certified facility
Uses Epic EMR system

Requirements

Active TN or compact RN license required
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS (AHA or Red Cross only)
Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience required
Prior experience with 1:4-5 patient ratios required
Epic EMR experience required
Prior travel nursing experience required
At least 1 supervisory reference required for consideration
Skilled in triage, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and 12-lead EKG acquisition
Experience managing pediatric and adult emergency conditions including asthma, seizures, abdominal pain, and psychiatric emergencies
Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and management of vascular access devices
Experience caring for ventilated patients and interpreting ABGs preferred
Experience with splint application and orthopedic care

Additional Information

Provide emergency care across a broad range of adult and pediatric conditions including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and psychiatric cases
Manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction and dysrhythmias
Utilize isolation precautions and PPE protocols appropriately
Navy scrub color required
RTO limited to one request per contract
First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
Previous permanent employees eligible to return as travelers after 1 year of separation
