Senior Family Law Paralegal

Responsibilities: Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy. Draft, review, and edit legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, subpoenas, complaints, interrogatories, discovery requests, legal briefs, affidavits, and correspondence under the supervision of a lawyer. Manage and organize case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date. Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions by organizing exhibits, coordinating witnesses, filing motions, and conducting research on legal articles. Coordinate communication between clients, witnesses, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel. Maintain case calendars, tracking deadlines and filing requirements. Review and manage incoming and outgoing discovery requests and responses. Stay current with legal developments and changes in regulations relevant to the practice area. Conduct client meetings and assist with client communications. Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field is preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal in family law. Paralegal certification from an accredited institution is preferred. Proficient in legal research tools and software (Lexis), case management systems (Clio), and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Understanding of legal ethics and confidentiality requirements. Experience in handling discovery‑related tasks.
