Senior Accountant

About The Opportunity:

A growing, private equity–backed manufacturer in Louisville is looking for a Senior Accountant to take ownership of its books. This is a hands-on role where you'll run the full accounting cycle through the monthly close and produce the reports that leadership and ownership rely on.

The company has the close-knit feel of a smaller business and the structure and visibility that come with PE backing. Your work will be seen and valued. Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and journal entries
• Handle payroll submissions and postings
• Complete bank and credit card reconciliations
• Own the month-end close from start to finish, on time and accurately
• Support cost accounting, including inventory and product costing
• Prepare monthly reporting packages for leadership and ownership
• Run reports in Global Shop, the company's ERP system
• Support audits and help with any lender or other outside reporting

Required Qualifications:

• 3–8 years of accounting or full-charge bookkeeping experience
• A bachelor's degree in accounting, or equivalent hands-on experience
• Solid cost accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing
• Accrual-basis accounting and month-end close experience
• Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables and XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP
• Strong attention to detail and comfort working to firm deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Global Shop, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Online or Xero
• Familiarity with Bill.Com, Ramp or Expensify, and with ADP, Paychex or Gusto
• Experience at a private equity–backed or portfolio company
• Lender or covenant reporting, or 13-week cash flow forecasting
• Multi-entity, intercompany or acquisition integration experience
