Premium Transport Staffing, Inc. is a staffing agency specializing in Class A truck drivers, and we are looking for a DOT Compliance Specialist to join our team in Ontario, California.
If you have prior DOT experience in the transportation industry, understand DOT rules and regulations, and are highly organized and detail-oriented, we would love to hear from you.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities, and ensuring important compliance and employment documentation is completed accurately and on time.
Schedule & Pay
- $22.00 per hour
- Monday–Friday
- 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- 1-hour lunch
What You'll Do
- Complete employment verification for newly hired drivers in accordance with FMCSR requirements
- Complete employment verification requests for terminated drivers from prospective employers in accordance with FMCSR requirements
- Assist with the onboarding, recertification, and separation processes for DOT drivers and employees
- Maintain accurate and organized compliance records and documentation
- Assist with DOT-related administrative and clerical duties
- Provide support to the Corporate Safety & Compliance Manager
- Assist with compliance-related projects and special assignments
- Manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
What We're Looking For
- Prior DOT experience in the transportation industry is required
- Working knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- At least 1 year of administrative assistant experience
- Previous Safety Clerk experience in transportation is strongly preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and stay focused in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to remain professional and maintain a positive attitude under stressful conditions
- Strong customer service skills
- Good computer skills and ability to learn new software; training will be provided on our location systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
