Baton Rouge, Louisiana – Geriatric Medicine Physician

Start Date: ASAP Position Overview

\n
Provide medical leadership and supervision for participant care.
\n
Oversee clinical quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
\n
Lead and support the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
\n
Collaborate with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), and community providers.
\n
Mentor and coach clinical staff.
\n
Participate in a shared 24/7 on-call rotation.
\n
Ensure accurate documentation and optimize electronic medical record (EMR) use.
\n
Support pharmacy coordination and advance care planning.

Competitive annual salary of $250,000–$290,000.

Requirements

\n
MD or DO degree.
\n
Active Louisiana medical license.
\n
Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine; Geriatrics preferred.
\n
Minimum 1 year of experience working with frail or elderly populations.
\n
Prior leadership or supervisory experience.
\n
Current BLS certification.
\n
Current CDS certification.
\n
Active DEA registration.
\n
Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
