Lead Principal Software Engineer

Salary: $135,200 - 306,400 per year Requirements:

• We architect, design, and run distributed, highly available, resilient systems built for multi-tenant, horizontally scalable, cost-efficient architectures across OCI regions.
• We collaborate across Compute, Storage, Networking, OKE, and other teams to deliver platform features focused on Imaging and Container Registry Services, secure-by-default designs, and stronger service reliability.
• We mentor and support engineers in distributed systems design, large-scale data processing, and operational excellence, while helping raise engineering standards across teams.
• We drive operational excellence by owning service-level objectives for availability, latency, and durability, and by reducing toil through automation, observability, and self-healing capabilities.
• We own the full service lifecycle from design and implementation through deployment, on-call support, and continuous improvement.
• We define and advance the technical roadmap for OCI Imaging and Container Registry Services.
• We partner with product management and field teams to turn customer needs into roadmap priorities.
• We contribute to the broader Compute strategy and influence how our Imaging and Container Registry Services evolve for mission-critical global workloads.
• We define specifications for major new projects and design and develop software to those specifications.
• We carry out professional software development work related to designing, developing, and debugging software applications or operating systems.
