What You'll Do
- Provide safe, efficient patient care utilizing the Nursing Process within the Operating Room setting.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to prepare and monitor patients throughout procedures.
- Effectively delegate tasks and communicate with multidisciplinary team members.
- Assess patient needs pre- and post-surgery, and implement appropriate teaching strategies for patients and families.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing healthcare practices.
- Document patient care activities accurately and promptly.
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and unit goals.
What You Need
- Required:
- Current Louisiana RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
- Preferred:
- PALS certification
- Previous operating room or surgical experience
- Strong organizational and delegation skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
