In this role you will keep critical gauges calibrated, analyze test results, maintain QMS documents and Excel trackers, and help raise the bar on safety and quality across the plant.

Role snapshot

• Own inspections across incoming, in-process, and final stages; flag and document nonconformances.
• Drive proper disposition of nonconforming materials per procedure.
• Author and update SOPs and work instructions that operators can trust.
• Build and maintain Excel-based dashboards for data trending and management reporting.
• Audit processes to confirm machine parameters, materials, and operator performance meet standards.
• Measure with precision using calipers, micrometers, durometers, and other gauges.
• Verify labels and documentation for both inbound receipts and outbound shipments.
• Check work areas for compliance and clean, organized conditions.
• Inspect received materials for visual, dimensional, and performance criteria.
• Calibrate/verify test equipment status and keep records current.
• Prepare test data, update QMS worksheets, and identify control improvements.
• Partner with Engineering and Production to resolve quality issues; take on other tasks as assigned.

Must-haves

• Associate degree in science/engineering with 2+ years in Quality (preferred) OR high school/equivalent with 5+ years in Quality.
• Strong communicator with solid math skills, including unit conversions.
• Intermediate–advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
• Team-focused approach.
• Comfort with calipers, micrometers, and durometers.
• Detail-obsessed and adept at troubleshooting.
• Blueprint literacy and an understanding of basic tolerances.
• Available for overtime as needed; high integrity and work ethic under deadline pressure.

Nice to have

• Experience with Vision Measuring Systems.

Physical demands

Busy industrial environment with standing/walking for an 8-hour shift, regular movement between office and shop floor, and the ability to push, pull, lift, or carry up to 25 lbs.
