Packager

The Packager position is responsible for the packaging of goods and materials relative to customer specifications with accuracy and quality. This position requires the de-consolidation of inbound loads and the preparation of packages for shipment. Primary Job Duties: Ensures proper material handling and packaging standards are met. Performs accurate physical count of material quantity to resolve discrepancies. Uses work orders to ensure proper parts/quantity are available for shipment. Completes transactions in a bar code/scanner computer system. Properly packages and secures material to ensure material is not damaged during transportation. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Some college/technical school or experience in a third-party logistics environment preferred. Previous experience using material handling equipment preferred PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS: The physical demands described here are representative must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
