Finance Professional for AI Workflow Evaluation

Role Overview

This role evaluates the professional realism of finance workflows and individual tasks used to train and test advanced AI systems. You will apply real-world judgment from investment banking, private equity, venture capital, fund finance, fund operations, or fund formation to determine whether task inputs, context, scope, and constraints reflect how this work is actually done in practice. This is an intensive, short sprint that requires active daily engagement and timely responsiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Review individual finance tasks and end-to-end workflows for professional realism, clarity, scope, and internal consistency.
• Assess whether provided inputs, contextual details, and expected workflows match real-world practice in your domain.
• Identify missing assumptions, ambiguous instructions, unsupported requirements, impractical constraints, and material edge cases.
• Flag tasks that are too broad, too generic, or otherwise unlikely to measure real finance capability.
• Provide concise, structured written feedback and targeted recommendations to improve task realism.
• When necessary, consult trusted domain peers to verify task logic and uphold a high standard across the sprint.

Qualifications

• Practitioner track: 5 to 7 years of relevant investment banking or private equity experience, or 5 to 10 years of relevant fund operations experience.
• Senior reviewer track: 7 to 15 years of relevant experience.
• Professional experience in at least one of these areas: investment banking, private equity, venture capital, fund finance, fund operations, or fund formation.
• Strong modeling, valuation, transaction execution, diligence, and investment-writing skills.
• Current or recent proximity to execution is highly valued.
• Excellent written communication, with the ability to make assumptions, risks, and recommendations explicit.
• Experience reviewing deal teams, investment memos, or fund deliverables is especially valuable for senior reviewers.

Work Terms

• Location: Remote.
• Employment type: hourly.
• Project timing: the Finance Sprint within Project Mercury begins within 24 hours and will run intensively over the next week.
• Level of engagement: high. Apply only if you can remain actively involved for the sprint duration.
• Task cadence: work may require completing multi-hour tasks in one sitting, typically around 2 to 4 hours per task.
• Communications: you must keep Slack notifications on and respond to project updates, questions, and feedback within the day.
• Confidentiality: task content is confidential and may change during the sprint.
• Selection: offers are made on a first-come, first-served basis.

Compensation

• Rate: 151 - 196 hourly.
