Database Administrator

Job Title: Senior Database Administrator Work Arrangement: Onsite Contract: 12 months + potential ext We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to support one of Florida's State Department. This is a specialized role supporting the daily maintenance, administration, performance, security, and availability of mission-critical Software AG ADABAS databases across production and non-production environments. Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain production and non-production ADABAS databases Perform database backup, recovery, restoration, and disaster-recovery activities Configure database parameters and optimize database performance Monitor database availability, resource utilization, storage, and capacity Allocate and reallocate database resources for optimal performance and cost efficiency Establish standards for physical data storage, maintenance, access, and security Support logical data models, data repositories, data dictionaries, and warehousing requirements Troubleshoot database incidents and production performance issues Maintain technical procedures, operational documentation, and knowledge-transfer materials Provide weekly status reports and detailed documentation of completed work Required Qualifications Direct, hands‑on experience administering ADABAS databases Strong knowledge of database backup, recovery, performance tuning, and storage management Experience configuring database parameters and resolving database performance issues Knowledge of database access controls, security administration, and data protection Ability to create clear technical documentation and communicate effectively with technical teams #J-18808-Ljbffr Tech Army, LLC
